Deadline extended until midnight Wed 1/7!
It’s that time of year again, when you need to decide whether you can fit another fruit tree into your garden.
The answer, of course, is yes. There’s always room for one more tree, right?
Carr’s Fruit Tree Nursery (our on-farm nursery) has extended their order deadline until midnight on Wednesday, July 1st — they were due to close on June 30.
The nursery team also want you to know that they’ve declared a last-minute, 25%-off sale on multigraft cherry trees!
Multigrafts are a bit of a speciality for our on-farm nursery. They’re good for so many reasons:
- They add instant biodiversity to your garden;
- Many of the combinations pollinise each other;
- Having more varieties in your garden reduces the risk of something bad happening to your crop, and increases the chance you’ll actually get to pick some fruit;
- It spreads your harvest over a longer time.
Like everything on our farm, the fruit trees are all grown using completely organic principles, which means the roots are strong and healthy, and already populated with lots of good soil microbes that will help the trees grow well in your garden.
You’ll find all the details about pick-up days, etc. on the nursery website.
Happy fruit tree planting!
