We (Hugh and Katie) are looking for the right folks to take over the lease on our certified organic orchard here in Harcourt, Central Victoria.
We are looking for an enthusiastic person (or people) who are well placed for an on-farm learning adventure. Our lovely organic orchard is about 4 ha and includes cherries, apricots, plums, apples, and pears.
We’re offering a complete “instant orchard” business opportunity. It includes absolutely everything you need to run a fruit business from day 1. Trees, infrastructure, markets, hands-on mentoring, and being part of a great community are all part of the package.
The lease is for 4 years (with the possibility of extension). It might suit someone who wants to test out what it’s like to live in the country and run a farming business. It would also suit someone looking to own their own farm in the future.
We’re excited to find the right person (or couple) and teach them the orchard business inside out. We’ve done it twice now, and it’s incredibly rewarding. It’s kind of like the Grow Great Fruit program on steroids!

Ideally, you’ll have some previous fruit growing or farming experience. Experience with organics or a strong interest in organic fruit growing would also be a bonus. It’s a great opportunity for you to consolidate or learn a wide range of fruit-growing skills.
